Baby Girl

Hello, it's Monday so it's time for my Craft Mojo post and today it's a cutie, I've made a card for a baby girl!

Supplies:

As you can see I've stamped the elephant onto some patterned paper before cutting it out and mounting it on the pinking edge circles.

MFT flower

Happy Saturday :o)

Lisa here with my DT card for this week, using some of my favourite MFT dies again...

I cut the flower from a piece of thick fabric, and was quite impressed with how easily the die cut through it... I've only used them on paper/ card and felt before, but I'll definitely be doing this again.

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening.

A doodlebug butterfly...

Happy Saturday everyone :o)

I'm here with a simple little card, using the gorgeous Doodlebug spotty vellum which is new in at Craft Mojo.

As the spots are slightly raised, I stamped the butterfly on the reverse, and then cut it out and flipped it over.  I added my favourite birthday sentiment from Jane's Doodles and a few Doodlebug sequins to finish it off.

Thanks for popping in, hope you have a lovely evening.

Singing in the rain

Morning, happy Easter Monday! Rebecca here with today's Craft Mojo DT card I have used the same stamp set as last week (Jane's Doodles- Raindrops) but I've used for a different style of card (last week's was a get well card).

To make the background I dipped a large, wet brush, into a blue and then green/aqua distress ink pad and the quickly swept it across watercolour card. Then I stamped the sentiment, masked it, and stamped the umbrella over the top (by masking the sentiment I managed to get the umbrella to look as though it was behind it).

Finally, I used the same aqua ink pad to stamp the musical notes to look like rain- I also added a touch of glitter to give a wet look to it.

First play with stencils & paste...

Hello everyone... hope you're having a lovely Easter weekend :o)

I've finally been brave and used my stencils and embossing paste for the first time... I've been itching to use them, I'm just a bit of a wuss with new techniques!

I changed the white embossing paste to pink, by mixing it with Hero Arts Soft Pink... it's really easy to do - just dab the ink pad on a craft mat, add the paste and mix together.  I need a bit of practise in getting a smooth finish, but really had fun with the paste so I'll definitely have another play soon... and the texture is great for adding a bit of interest.

The layout was created using the newly released MFT Blueprints 14 set, which I absolutely love and my favourite Jane's Doodles sentiment stamp too!

Thanks for popping in :o)

April showers

Morning, Rebecca here and I've used another Jane's Doodle stamp set for my DT card today. The set is called Raindrops- unfortunately it is out of stock just at the moment but you can sign up for an email alert to let you know when it arrives back in the shop!

Anyway, I've kept things nice and simple for this one, I've just stamped the elements and then fussy cut out the brolly and one of the clouds before sticking them down with foam pads. To give the umbrella a bit of shading I used two similar colours on ink on my stamp at the same time- I added a darker colour just round the edges. To finish the card I added a Wink of stella to make the water look shiny.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Whale of a time!

Morning, Rebecca here and it's time for a Craft Mojo DT card and I've made another card using a Janes Doodles stamp.

I've paired this with some Echo Park paper which has given the card a lovely little boy theme- I haven't added a sentiment so that it could be used for several occasions for a baby boy.

I've stamped and coloured the gorgeous image before mounting it on ink edged paper layers. The waves have been hand cut.  I've added quite a bit of dimension to his card using foam pads- I think this would even look great in a picture frame in a little boys bedroom.
